Jon Raven portrait Jon Raven (1940-2015) was a pivotal figure in the 1960s/'70s British folk revival, working as a solo artist and frequent collaborator, and perhaps most importantly as a producer, working with many of the eras greatest musicians, including Sue Harris, Nic Jones, John Kirkpatrick, Tony Rose and, of course, his own brother, Michael Raven, who also has an extensive recording career. Raven was also a prolific author, publishing several volumes of folklore and regional British history. Fun fact: Jon Raven's sons also went into musical careers, notably bassist Paul Raven, who moved through a variety of rock, post-punk and industrial bands, including later editions of Killing Joke and Ministry...
