Banjo picker/guitarist Larry McNeely started his professional career as a teen, playing in country elder Roy Acuff's late-1960s band. In the early 'Seventies he emerged as a protege of Glen Campbell, who helped McNeely find a berth in the early '70s studio musician scene, as well as a record deal with Capitol Records. McNeely was a prolific session player and sideman, eventually gravitating more towards bluegrass and eclectic acoustic music, particularly in his longtime partnership with Jack Skinner...
