With a career spanning back to the 1930s, David Gordon Kirkpatrick, aka Slim Dusty (1927-2003) was one of Australia's major country music pioneers, recording over a hundred albums, touring tirelessly and promoting the careers of countless younger artists. He was married to musician Joy McKean, who wrote some of his earliest and biggest hits, and their daughter, Anne Kirkpatrick, became a country star in her own right. His musical catalog is immense, and the list below is obviously incomplete... feel free to send information about any albums I've missed!
Slim Dusty/Various Artists "The Slim Dusty Show" (1956)
On his first extended-play release, Slim Dusty is joined by his wife, Joy McKean, as well as Gordon Parsons (composer of the hit single "A Pub With No Beer") and other members of their road show...
