• Africa Online is pretty much the motherlode of all African music websites. Worth prolonged exploration.

• Here's a cool African music links list... which doubtless puts mine to shame...

• AfroPop.org is a new, nonprofit, NPR-affiliated program with its own ever-expanding website. The website's emphasis is on audio feeds as opposed to written articles, and more or less on newer bands, although their scope is pretty far-reaching. Definitely worth checking out!

• Roots World features plenty of African reviews as well, though access can be a little confusing...

• Luna Kafe is an interesting, interactive type site, where web browsers can contribute suggestions for artists to be included in their directory. Check it out & become a part of internet history!

• A fellow named Lars Fredriksson is working on a massive guide to African and Arabic Music. Currently it has a few navigational glitches and lots of pages under construction, but what's there so far is pretty cool. Includes profiles of various regional styles, as well as artists such as Franco and Umm Khalthoum. This is one of the sites I most look forward to watching grow.
