Released in conjunction with the 1967 Montreal World's Fair, this album has an East Coast band singing the praises of many Canadian provinces and regions, including oldies such as "Blue Canadian Rockies" and the Hank Snow's classic, "My Nova Scotia Home." Scotty Stevenson penned the fair-themed title track,"Big Scene '67," as well as ones called "Alberta," and "Canada's Song," while another album original, "Montreal, My Hometown," was actually written by American hillbilly artist Zeb Turner. The lineup includes steel player Buddy Ackers, Ron Carleton (drums), Marty DesGardins (bass) and Scotty Stevenson (vocals and guitar) with Buddy Ackers getting a solo spotlight on covers of a Buddy Emmons instrumental, "Blue Emmons," and Weldon Myrick's "Corn Crib."
