OH NO!!! It's an obligatory stupid links page!! The truth is, I just have this page up here because I had to clear out the bookmarks on my computer and this seemed like a good way to keep some of the information handy. Plus, some of these websites may actually be of interest to others... I resisted putting one of these things for years and years, but even the best of us have our weak moments...

By the way: I also have links for various record labels and other music websites... Not here, though. These links are located on the appropriate pages of the Slipcue site (ie, links to other Emmylou Harris websites are listed at the bottom of my Emmylou Harris fan page, etc. You get the idea...)

• Necessary computer upgrades

• An unemployment guide for those who didn't get the upgrades listed above...

• Buffy Guide is one of the best Buffy The Vampire Slayer fan sites... also has fun stuff on it. If you're not already a Buffy fan, what are you waiting for? It's the world's best-written TV show.

• The Internet Movie Database - you have a cinema-related question, they have the answers.

• Don Markstein's Toonpedia is an invaluable resource for fans of the mysterious world of old newspaper comic strip reprints.

• Likewise, the Both Sides Now website has an amazing amount of information about hundreds of record labels... A treasure trove for both serious and not-so-serious record collectors...

• The New Yorker is the best magazine in America. If I could, I would buy everyone a subscription.

• Spinner.com is an incredible online music resource. Over 150 "stations" with styles ranging from techno to hillbilly music, big band and punk. The best part is -- the music is all pretty good. Sure, AOL owns it, but the content and sound quality are top notch.

• I'm also a whore for Amazon... Big company? Sure. Support local stores instead? Sure. But the fact is that there's a lot of stuff you just can't find at home, and Amazon is the best overall online sales site I've seen. Plus, I signed up for their "Associates" program, so in theory, if you buy something from them after following a link from my website, I'll get a little bit of dough, which will help keep Slipcue online.
  
  

• The Onion can be pretty darn funny sometimes.

• Pulitzer Prize winning author Michael Chabon has a really... interesting... website. Quirky and idiosyncratic, and with plenty of cool links of its own.
  
  

• Slipcue.Com is a gigantic waste of time... Lots of "information" about all kinds of music that no one really wants to know... Avoid at all costs!!!!

• TFN, the big Star Wars fan geek film site has hundreds (I'm not kidding) of fan-produced short movies, placed within the fictional continuum of the Star Wars universe... Some are funny, a lot are just plain dopey. Um, I actually haven't looked at that many of these films... but there sure are a lot of them!

• Snood is an evil, addictive, stupid game. I'm pretty good at it.

• TV Guide has a surprisingly poorly-designed website. Why do they keep giving me the listings for Los Angeles?
